Gloss reflects light.

Light attracts attention.

Wear Gloss.

Attract attention.

Gloss is to lips what mascara is to eyes.

These two simple additions pull focus to your faces main attractions, lips and eyes.

Gloss can be glaringly obvious and distracting when over used. Unless you are trending lips (what you want people to see first), here is some gloss advice.

To maximize light reflection on the lips, apply vertically with the grain of the lip’s skin tissue. Light will bounce best off the lips when applied this way. Keep gloss slightly within the edge of the lip line to allow room for gloss spread, which inevitably happens when lips rub together.

Gloss Tips

One of the easiest, long-lasting and impact producing techniques
is to fill in lips with a lip pencil first…

…and then top with a clear or very sheer color lip gloss.

Hair gets in gloss

This is a pain. I always use to blame thick gloss until I understood the higher purpose of thick gloss.

Thin gloss evaporates quickly taking color with it. That is why thinner lip gloss needs to be reapplied so often.

Thicker gloss acts as an environmental seal by not evaporating quickly, and keeping lip color underneath it in place.

Press a very thin layer of a thicker gloss and color will last longer and hair will stick less to lips .

Please remember

Gloss has oil in it. Oil is used to remove makeup. If you spread gloss over lip color, it will break down that color very quickly. It is better to press gloss with a lip brush over lip pencil and/or lipstick than spread it around.
